In Simple Terms: You can use Permly for free (3 profiles) or upgrade to Pro for unlimited profiles. Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and renew automatically unless you cancel. We don't collect your data, but we're not responsible if you accidentally mute something important. Be careful with your profile settings!

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Permly ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Permly is an Android notification management application that allows users to create custom profiles to selectively mute notifications from specific applications. The service is provided in two tiers:

  • Free Tier: Up to 3 profiles, 7-day statistics, all core features
  • Pro Tier: Unlimited profiles, full statistics history, automatic scheduling, and priority support

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Pro Subscription

Permly Pro is available as a subscription service through Google Play with the following options:

  • Monthly: $1.99/month, auto-renewing
  • Yearly: $14.99/year, auto-renewing
  • Lifetime: $29.99 one-time purchase

3.2 Payment and Renewal

  • Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Google Play account settings

3.3 Free Trial

We may offer free trial periods for Pro subscriptions. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until the end of your paid period.

4. Refund Policy

Important: All purchases are processed through Google Play and subject to Google's refund policies.

4.1 Google Play Refunds

  • Google Play typically offers refunds within 48 hours of purchase if you haven't used the app
  • To request a refund, visit Google Play Help Center
  • Refund requests are handled directly by Google, not by Permly

4.2 Our Refund Commitment

If you're unsatisfied with Permly Pro and Google has denied your refund request, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase. We will review your case and may issue a refund at our discretion.

5. License and Restrictions

5.1 License Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Permly for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

5.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Share your Pro subscription with others

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of Permly is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data
  • All app data remains locally on your device
  • We never read notification content, only package names
  • No analytics, tracking, or third-party data sharing

7. Permissions

Permly requires the following Android permissions:

  • Notification Access: Required to intercept and block notifications from muted apps
  • Receive Boot Completed: Required to restart the notification service after device reboot

These permissions are essential for the App to function and are used solely for the stated purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of the App

We do not guarantee that Permly will block 100% of notifications from muted apps. Notification behavior may vary across Android devices and versions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
  • Important notifications that were unintentionally blocked

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Configuring profiles appropriately to avoid blocking important notifications
  • Maintaining the security of your device
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws
  • Understanding that muting emergency or critical notifications may have consequences
Warning: Do not mute emergency services, medical apps, or critical alert apps (weather warnings, etc.) unless you fully understand the risks.

11. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the App at any time
  • Add, remove, or modify features
  • Change pricing for Pro subscriptions (existing subscriptions honored at original price)

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the App ends immediately
  • You must stop using the App and delete it from your device
  • Active subscriptions will continue until the end of the billing period (no refunds for partial periods)

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

For material changes (like pricing or feature changes), we will provide at least 30 days notice through the App or email.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
